Wekfest Japan 2025.

After this video was released, I…

After this video was released, I must say that nothing has been more impactful than seeing Hartnett Media’s Wekfest Japan documentary in 2019. Honestly, at that time I couldn’t even name five Japanese performance cars, but the immense information gap and cultural shock I experienced in that video bombarded my brain at lightning speed. From that day on, personally visiting Nagoya to experience Wekfest became my greatest motivation.

Having filmed car videos for five or six years, those familiar with our channel’s style know we focus solely on content related to car modification culture. Each modified car represents a unique idea from a car enthusiast, a one-of-a-kind creation requiring immense time and effort. Such high-caliber, high-quality modification exhibitions are rare indeed. Previously, Wekfest videos always gave the feeling of “watching a competition of CG art masters’ works.” This May, I finally went to Nagoya to experience this dreamlike scene firsthand. Although it’s no longer held in the old venue, the moment I stepped into the exhibition, I could only say it felt like a dream unfolding before me. I first simply enjoyed walking around, and then captured the moments with my camera. Some footage was captured, and one young man deserves special mention: “Tom.” As a pioneer of young car enthusiasts in China, he brought his beloved EG6 to the event, and it was an outstanding piece of work! Tom’s car-loving life in Japan also allowed him to meet some well-known car enthusiasts, groups, and media. As Tom’s car-loving taste gained recognition, it just goes to show that what we car enthusiasts really need is a stage… Anyway, I apologize that the video was only edited now due to work commitments, but I still hope everyone can experience, from my perspective, the “information gap” I felt about car culture back then.
